DEMOLITION DELAY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
September 4, 2014
1.~~~~ Call Meeting to Order:
The Demolition Delay Committee meeting was called to order by Chairperson Art Utay at 7:30 pm.
2.~~~~~Roll Call:
- Members present: Art Utay, Wayne McKinney, Virginia Macro, and Walter FitzPatrick.
- Members absent: Viney Wilson (resigned).
3.~~~~ Public Participation:
4.~~~~ Approval of Minutes:
- Motion by member McKinney, seconded by member Utay, was made to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on June 4, 2014. The motion carried unanimously.
5.~~~~ Old Business:
- Chairperson Utay reported that he has not received a response to a letter sent to the Planning and Zoning Committee, Mr. Bart Packonis – Chairman, requesting a replacement for Viney Wilson who has resigned. He will follow up to determine if the letter was received.
6.~~~~ New Business:
- No permit applications reported by the Building Department that were for properties 75 years or older.
- The Town Center Initiative was discussed. It was agreed that DDC should provide technical support in terms of a report outlining significant properties that could be impacted by demolition and also recommendations for preservation. Chairperson Utay will generate the initial draft of this report.
7.~~~~ Administration
- The next regular Demolition Delay Committee meeting will be October 9, 2014, at 7:30 PM.
8.~~~~ Adjournment
- Member McKinney moved to adjourn at 8:08 pm. Second by member FitzPatrick. The motion carried unanimously.
